Paloheinän Draikkatorni

Vuodenvaihteessa 2017-2018 valmistui Seikkailupuisto Korkeen ja Alppikerhon yhteistyönä kolmitahoinen Draikkatorni drytool-kiipeilyn harjoittelemiseen. Seinä vihittiin käyttöön ensimmäisissä Loppiaiskisoissa 6.1.2018 ja sen jälkeen perinnettä on jatkettu. Nykyään tornilla kiipeillä aktiivisesti keskiviikon seuravuoroilla ja omatoimisesti. Kilpailuja pyritänjärjestämään tasaisesti ja DraikkaCup:a pyoritetään vuosittain.

Alppikerho on Draikkatornin pääasiallinen käyttäjä. Seikkailupuisto Korkee voi tarvittaessa varata tornin käyttöönsä, mutta muutoin ei ole rajoitetta käyttää tornia kiipeilyyn muuna aikana.

Tornilla saa vapaasti kiivetä Alppikerhon jäsenet, joilla on lunastettuna tornin kausikortti. Alppikerhoon kuulumattomat voivat liittyä Draikan kannatusjäseneksi, ja saada täten saman käyttöoikeuden. Tornilla voi myös käydä kokeilemassa kertahintaan (myös ei-jäsenet) tai osallistua seuran vuorolle. Tarkemmat kuvaukset hinnoista ja vuorosta alla.

• Kauden 2022-2023 kausikortin hinta on Alppikerhon jäsenille 100€. Kausikortti sisältää sekä Draikkakauden (lokakuun alusta huhtikuun loppuun, jolloin torni vain Alppikerhon käytössä) että kesäkauden (toukokuusta syyskuuhun, jolloin tornia käyttää myös Seikkailupuisto Korkee). Kausikortilla saa kiipeillä niin paljon kuin haluaa.

• Mikäli et ole vielä Alppikerhon jäsen, etkä halua liittyä kevyt- etkä täysjäseneksi, voit liittyä pelkäksi Draikkakannatusjäseneksi. Draikkakannatusjäsenyyden hinta on 120€, sisältäen kausikortin 2021-2022.

• Mikäli laji on jo tuttu ja välineet löytyy, muttet halua vielä ostaa kausikorttia, voit ostaa 10€ hintaisen tutustumiskäynnin.

• Mikäli laji ei ole tuttu eikä omia välineitäkään vielä ole, voit tulla kokeilemaan lajia keskiviikkoisin alppikerholaisten jäsenvuorolla! Seuraan kuulumattomat, keillä jo omat varusteet, voivat kokeilla normaalilla 10€ hintaisella tutustumiskäynnillä. Mikäli omia varusteita ei vielä ole, kokeilemaan pääsee 15€ hintaisella tutustumiskäynnillä sisältäen varusteet.

Kaikki Draikkatornin tuotteet ostetaan etukäteen Holvi-verkkokaupasta. Saapuessasi paikalle, varaudu esittämään Holvin kuitti maksusta.

Syksyllä 2019 tornilla aloitettiin jäsenistön toiveesta seuravuoro. Jäsenvuoro on kaikille Alppikerhon jäsenille ilmainen ja vuoron aikana voi lainata seuran kenkiä ja hakkuja maksutta.

• Draikkatorni sijaitsee Seikkailupuisto Korkeen alueella Helsingin Paloheinässä osoitteessa Pakilantie 124.

• Torni löytyy Paloheinän Ulkoilumajan takaa.

• Seikkailupuiston vieressä iso asfaltoitu parkkialue, jolla kiekollinen pysäköinti.

• Helsingin keskustasta pääse helpoiten perille bussilla 66. Bussi 560 ajaa myös Paloheinän vierestä.

• Kiipeilyaikojen puitteissa tornilla saa vapaasti kiivetä henkilö, jolla on lunastettuna tornin kausikortti tai maksettuna kertavuoro. (Kts. Hinnasto)

• Kiipeilijän tulee olla täyttänyt 14 vuotta. Tätä nuoremmat VAIN huoltajan seurassa.

• Mikäli käyttäjä varmistaa tornilla muita kiipeilijöitä, tulee hänellä olla sopiva varmistustaito olemassa (yläköysi tai lead riippuen tarpeesta).

• Seinällä kiivetään köydellä, hakuilla ja kengillä, joissa voi olla drytooling varustus.

• Seinä ei sovellu itsenäiseen harrastuksen aloittamiseen, vaan sen käyttäjällä on oltava aiempaa kokemusta jää- tai mixed-kiipeilystä tai aloituksen voi saada ryhmässä ohjaajan valvomana.

• Alaikäiset jäsenet: 14–17-vuotiaat saavat kiipeillä seinällä itsenäisesti vanhempiensa tai holhoojiensa kirjallisella hyväksynnällä.

  • seuranvuorolla valvojalle.

• Seinä on käytettävissä Seikkailupuisto Korkee:n aukioloaikojen ulkopuolella (Kts. korkee.fi ja Paloheinän toimipiste.).

• Pysäköinti tullessa Paloheinän ulkoilualueen parkkipaikalle (4h vapaa pysäköinti!).

  Kiipeily ja varmistaminen

• Pääsymaksu maksetaan ennen kiipeilyä Alppikerhon nettikaupassa. (https://holvi.com/shop/alppikerho/)

• Kiipeily tapahtuu kiipeilijöiden omalla vastuulla, ja käyttäjät ottavat huomioon, että:

  • Seinällä ei ole valvontaa tai päivystävää vastuuhenkilöä.

  • Pulttien ja otteiden kunto tarkistetaan vuosittain, mutta hakkujen käyttö kuluttaa otteita käsikiipeilyä enemmän, joten otteiden lohkeamisen ja/tai putoamisen riski on suurempi

  • Pulttiväli pystyseinällä on tavanomaista sisäkiipeilyhallia pidempi; vaikeat liikkeet suorilla osuuksilla kannattaa välttää liidissä.

  • Kiipeilijän ote hakusta saattaa livetä ja hakku pudota vaarallisesti; varmistajan tulee tarkkailla kiipeilijän liikkumista ja pysyä poissa putoamislinjalta.

• Kypäräpakko: Kypärää on kaikkien seinän läheisyydessä oleskelevien käytettävä koko ajan kiipeilytoiminnan aikana.

• Kiipeilijällä on oltava omat ensiaputarvikkeet mukana tornilla kiivettäessä.

• Yläköyden tulee aina olla kiinni ainakin kahdessa pisteessä. Ankkurissa on kaksi sulkurengasta, joista toinen lukittuva ruuvillinen ja toinen ankkurin lankaportillinen. Köysi molemmista läpi ja ruuvillisen ruuvi kiinni.

• Varmistuspisteinä käytetään vain seinälle asennettuja kiinteitä jatkoja ja ankkureita Seinärakenteen sisäpuolelle ei saa mennä.

• Seinän tai puiden tukivaijereita ei saa käyttää varmistuspisteinä tai kiipeilyyn, jos niihin ei ole asennettu kiinteitä jatkoja tai otteita.

• Pulttia tai jatkoa ei saa koukata hakulla.

• Kiipeilyn jälkeen kerättävä roskat mukaan.

• Seikkailupuisto Korkeen asiakkaita tai muita ulkoilijoita ei saa häiritä. Muistakaa asiallinen käytös.

Erikoistilanteet

• Onnettomuustilanteessa on vakavuudesta riippuen joko hakeuduttava itse hoitoon tai hälytettävä apua.

• Kiipeilijällä on oltava omat ensiaputarvikkeet.

• Lähin päivystys Malmin sairaalassa.

• Taksille tai hätäkeskukselle ilmoitettava osoite:

Järjestämme tornilla myös yksityisiä ohjattuja kiipeilytyksiä ryhmille. Kiipeilyaika on tällöin 2h (tai sopimuksen mukaan) ja hinta käsittää koko tornin käytön kyseisenä aikana, varusteet sekä oman ohjaajan. Kerää porukka kasaan ja tulkaa tornille koettamaan hakkukiipeilyä! The Drytooling Tower in Paloheinä (“Draikkatorni“)

At the turn of 2017-2018, a three-sided Draikkatorni for practicing drytool climbing was completed in cooperation with Seikkailupuisto Korkee and Alppikerho. The wall was inaugurated at the first Epiphany Games on January 6, 2018, and the tradition has been continued since then. Today, I actively climb the tower on Wednesday club shifts and on my own. We try to organize the competitions evenly and the DraikkaCup is organized annually.

RIGHT OF USE OF DRYTOOLING TOWER (“Draikkatorni“)

Alppikerho is the main user of Draikkatorni. Seikkailupuisto Korkee can, if necessary, reserve the tower for its use, but otherwise there is no restriction on using the tower for climbing at other times.

Alppikerho members who have redeemed the season ticket for the tower are free to climb the tower. Non-Alppikerho club members can join as Drytooling support member, and thus get the same right of use. You can also visit the tower to try it out for a one-time price (including non-members) or participate in the club's turn. More detailed descriptions of prices and times below.

DRAIKKATORNI PRICE LIST 1 September 2023-30 August 2024

The price of the season ticket for the 2023-2024 season is €100 for Alppikerho members. The season ticket includes both the Draikka season (from the beginning of October to the end of April, when the tower is only used by Alppikerho) and the summer season (from May to September, when the tower is also used by adventurepark Seikkailupuisto Korkee). With a season ticket, you can climb as much as you want.

If you are not yet a member of Alppikerho, and you do not want to join as a light or full member, you can simply join as a Draikka support member. The price of the Draikka support membership is €120, including the 2023-2024 season ticket.

If you are already familiar with the sport and you have the equipment, but you don't want to buy a season ticket yet, you can buy a €10 introductory visit.

If you are not familiar with the sport and don't have your own equipment yet, you can come and try the sport on Wednesdays during the alpine club member's turn! Non-members of the club, who already have their own equipment, can try it out with a normal €10 introductory visit. If you don't have your own equipment yet, you can try it out with a €15 introductory visit including the equipment.

All Draikkatorni products are purchased in advance from the Holvi online store. When you arrive, be prepared to present Holvi's receipt for the payment.

DRAIKKATORNI MEMBER ROUND ON WEDNESDAYS

In the fall of 2019, at the request of the members, a social shift was started at the tower. The membership shift is free for all Alppikerho members, and during the shift you can borrow the club's shoes and boots free of charge.

Wednesdays at 16:30->

The club's representative is always there to guide and take care of the top ropes in place.

Those who do not belong to the club can climb on that day as well for a one-time price of €10, with equipment €15. Buy a trial in advance from the Holvi online store.

DRAIKKATORNI LOCATION AND PARKING

• Draikkatorni is located in the Seikkailupuisto Korkee area of ​​Helsinki in Paloheinä at Pakilantie 124.

• The tower can be found behind Paloheinä's ulkoilumaja -cafe.

• Next to the adventure park, a large asphalt parking area with circular parking.

• The easiest way to get there from the center of Helsinki is by bus 66. Bus 560 also stops next to Paloheinä.

DRAIKKATORNI CLIMBING RULES

• Within the climbing hours, a person with a redeemed tower season pass or a paid one-time pass can climb the tower freely. (See price list)

• The climber must be 14 years old. Those younger than this ONLY accompanied by a guardian.

• If the user is belaying other climbers on the tower, he must have suitable belaying skills (top rope or lead depending on the need).

• The wall is climbed with a rope, picks and shoes, which can be equipped with drytooling equipment.

• The wall is not suitable for starting a hobby independently, but its user must have previous experience in ice or mixed climbing, or you can get started in a group under the supervision of an instructor.

• Minor members: 14-17 year olds can climb the wall independently with the written approval of their parents or guardians.

  • Approval can be submitted electronically to info@alppikerho.fi or

  • accompanying the supervisor.

• The wall is available outside the opening hours of Seikkailupuisto Korkee (See korkee.fi and Paloheinä office.).

• Parking when entering the Paloheinä outdoor recreation area parking lot (free parking for 4 hours!).

Climbing and belaying

• The entrance fee is paid before climbing in Alppikerho's online store. (https://holvi.com/shop/alppikerho/)

• Climbing takes place at the climbers' own responsibility, and users take into account that:

  • There is no supervision or a responsible person on duty at the wall.

  • The condition of the bolts and grips is checked annually, but using picks wears out the grips more than hand climbing, so the risk of the grips breaking and/or falling is greater

  • The bolt spacing on the vertical wall is longer than a conventional indoor climbing hall; difficult movements on straight sections should be avoided in the lead.

  • The climber's grip on the log may slip and the log may fall dangerously; the belayer must observe the climber's movement and stay away from the fall line.

• Mandatory helmet: Everyone staying near the wall must wear a helmet at all times during the climbing activity.

• The climber must have his own first aid supplies when climbing the tower.

• The upper rope must always be attached at least in two points. The anchor has two closing rings, one with a locking screw and the other with an anchor wire gate. Rope through both and the screw on the screw.

• Only fixed extensions and anchors installed on the wall are used as securing points. Do not go inside the wall structure.

• Wall or tree support cables may not be used as safety points or for climbing if they are not fitted with fixed extensions or grips.

• The bolt or extension must not be hooked with a pick.

• Garbage must be collected after climbing.

• Adventure Park Korkee's customers or other outdoor enthusiasts must not be disturbed. Remember to behave properly.

Special situations

• In the event of an accident, depending on the severity, you must either seek treatment yourself or call for help.

• The climber must have his own first aid supplies.

• The nearest emergency room is at Malmi Hospital.

GROUP SALE

We also organize private guided climbs for groups at the tower. The climbing time is then 2 hours (or according to the agreement) and the price includes the use of the entire tower during that time, the equipment and your own instructor. Gather a group and come to the tower to try log climbing!
