Mitalijuhlaa Finice2024-jääkiipeilykisoissa Oulussa 3.2.2024

Finice 2024-tapahtumassa kisattiin jääkiipeilyn continental cupin osakilpailussa ja Suomenmestaruuskilpailussa Oulussa 3.2.2024. Kisapaikkana toimi Oulun kiipeilyseuran hieno jääkiipeilytorni.

Kisapäivän sääolosuhteet olivat tänä vuonna erityisen suosiolliset: pakkasta oli vain muutamia asteita ja päivän aikana saatiin myös nauttia hieman auringonpaisteesta.

Finice2024-kisaan osallistui yhteensä 17 naista ja 30 miestä ja nuorten sarjassa yhteensä 15, 8 tyttöä ja 7 poikaa. Kisoihin osallistui kokeneiden kisaajien lisäksi myös muutamia ensikertalaisia.

Alppikerho oli edustettuna kisoissa etenkin miesten sarjassa. Alppikerhon draikkajunnujen valmennusryhmäkin oli mukana kisaamassa isolla porukalla.

Karsintojen aikana jokainen kisaaja kiipesi kaksi karsintareittiä, joista toinen oli pystymmällä Darkilla ja toinen Härskin katossa. Finaalissa sekä miehet että naiset kiipesivät saman finaalireitin katossa. Kisassa nähtiin myös ensimmäistä kertaa UIAA:n historiassa naispuolinen pääreitintekijä, Enni Bertling.

Tulokset:
Continental Cupissa miesten sarjassa Pauli Salminen nappasi hopeaa ja sm-sarjassa kultaa.
Miesten sm-sarjassa hopealle kiipesi Henri Toivola ja pronssille ylsi Markus Huhtala Oulun kiipeilyseurasta.
Naisten sm-sarjassa Vilja Helin otti kultaa, hopealle nousi Eerika Lipsanen Kiipeilyurheilijoista ja pronssia sai Ronja Kaila.
U16 pojissa OKS:n Eemeli Rytkönen otti sm-kultaa ja osakilpailun hopeaa. U16 tytöissä sm- ja osakilpailun kultaa otti Lili Boijer-Spoof ja sm- ja osakilpailun hopealle sijoittui Lumi Pellikka.
U18 pojissa sm- ja osakilpailun kultaa otti Suho Nio ja sm- ja osakilpailun hopealle sijoittui Aaro Sihvonen. U18 tytöissä sm- ja osakilpailun kultaa otti Vivian Reynders.
U20 miehissä sm-kultaa ja osakilpailun hopeaa otti OKS:n Pyry Björk ja sm-hopeaa ja osakilpailun pronssia Teo Helasvuo. U20 naisissa sm-kultaa ja osakilpailun hopeaa otti Vilja Helin ja sm-hopeaa ja osakilpailun pronssia Ronja Kaila.
Aikuisten lisäksi myös nuorilla tuli hienosti menestystä kisoissa. Enni ja Pauli ovat tehneet hyvää valmennusta ja treenit Draikkatornilla ja Adventure Partnersin kiipeilyseinällä ovat tuottaneet tulosta.

Oulun seura oli loihtinut hienot kisat toimivine järjestelyineen. Paikalle saapui finaaleja seuraamaan runsaasti yleisöä ja ilmassa oli urheilujuhlan tuntua! Finaalien jälkeen kokoonnuttiin Oulun kiipeilykeskukselle palkintoseremoniaan. Palkintojenjaon jälkeen ohjelmassa oli vielä yhteisruokailu ja saunomista.

Nyt alkaa odotus ensi vuoden kisoihin ja toivottavasti näemme kisoissa vanhojen tuttujen lisäksi myös monia uusia kisaajia!

At the Finice 2024 event, there was competition in the continental Cup of ice climbing and the Finnish championships in Oulu on February 3, 2024. The venue for the competition was the fine ice climbing tower of the Oulu climbing club.
The weather conditions on the day of the competition were particularly favorable this year: it was only a few degrees below zero, and during the day we also enjoyed a bit of sunshine.
A total of 17 women and 30 men took part in the Finice2024 comp, and a total of 15, 8 girls and 7 boys, participated in the youth series. In addition to experienced competitors, a few first-timers also participated in the competition.
Alppikerho was well represented at the Finice2024, especially in the men's series. Alppikerho's ice climbing youth coaching group was also there, competing with a big group.
During the qualifiers, each competitor climbed two qualifying routes, one of which was on the steeper “Dark” and the other on the roof of “Härski”. In the final, both men and women climbed the roof of the same final route. For the first time in the history of the UIAA, the competition also saw a female main route setter, Enni Bertling.
Results:
In the Continental Cup, Pauli Salminen won silver in the men's series and gold in the junior series.
In the men's Finnish championships series, Henri Toivola climbed to silver and Markus Huhtala from the Oulu climbing club won bronze.
In the women's series, Vilja Helin won gold, Eerika Lipsanen from Kiipeilyurheilijat took silver, and Ronja Kaila took bronze.
In U16 boys, OKS's Eemeli Rytkönen took the Finnish championships gold and the youth cup silver. In U16 girls, Lili Boijer-Spoof took the gold in the Finnish championships and youth cup and Lumi Pellikka took the silver in the Finnish championships and youth cup.
In U18 boys, Suho Nio took the gold in the Finnish championships and youth cup and Aaro Sihvonen took the silver in the Finnish championships and youth cup. In the U18 girls, Vivian Reynders took the gold in the Finnish championships and youth cup.
In U20 men, the Finnish championships gold and silver of the youth cup was taken by Pyry Björk of OKS, and Teo Helasvuo took the Finnish championships silver and bronze of the youth cup. In the U20 women's category, Vilja Heli won the Finnish championships gold and the silver in the youth cup, and Ronja Kaila took the Finnish championships silver and the bronze in the youth cup.
In addition to adults, young people also had great success in the games. Enni and Pauli have done good coaching and the training with the youth at the Paloheinä drytooling tower and on the Adventure Partners climbing wall which have produced results.
The Oulu club had conjured up great competitions with functional arrangements. A large crowd arrived to watch the finals, and the air felt like a sports festival! After the finals, we gathered at the Oulu climbing center for the award ceremony. After the prize distribution, the program included a joint meal and a sauna.
Now the wait for next year's competitions and hopefully we will see not only old friends but also many new competitors at the games!
